Vintage Frenchy Note Cards

After getting my stamping room cleaned up I felt motivated to actually STAMP again (it's been awhile!).  With no real, clear plan I just began gathering materials around me and putting some note cards together.  Here's what I came up with:

I took some pages from an old French book and stamped these chandeliers onto the pages, embossing them to give them a nice, glossy, raised feel and look.  Next I machine stitched them onto the cards and then roughly tore the excess off leaving ragged edges.
The cards are blank so they could be used for any occasion.
I always include coordinating envelopes when making cards -- it adds a nice little surprise when the recipient receives them.  Of course ANY handwritten form of communication received via U.S. Mail these days is a surprise, right?
These are available in my Etsy Store.
So when was the last time YOU received a handwritten note in the mail??

  2. Very pretty. I love that you actually sewed them onto the card. The matching envelopes are also a very nice touch.
