I've always loved pretty nails! Even now that my hands have strangely become 'my mother's hands' . . . I still love trying new polish and treating myself to the occasional manicure. A few months ago I was introduced to something that's well, kind of amazing in the nail world . . . nail polish STRIPS. There may be other brands out there but I was introduced to Color Street.
I love that the strips are real nail polish so you just use polish remover to take them off. In each package, you get enough strips to do a minimum of one manicure. When my nails are this length, I can get TWO manicures from one package!
Besides the fact that you put these on in about 15 minutes and you're ready to go with a dry manicure, I love how they last!! Here they are above on the first day . . .

and on day 8 . . . after day 10, I changed them just because I wanted something new! They could have stayed on at least another 3-4 days!

I've heard of these but have to admit I won't be trying them. I don't have nice nails and polish would just draw attention to that. I've tried polish off and on over the years and finally gave up because I was lucky to even get a day out of it before it started looking ratty despite doing everything 'right' that was guaranteed for success over the longer term. All that to say, I think yours look like such fun (and you have beautiful nails).
ReplyDeleteI bought some Color Street overlays in the fall and have never opened the package. I am so scared that I will make a big mess of their application. Isn't that terrible? Your nails look so good. You make it look easy. Maybe this weekend I will get very brave and try my 'hand' at it!!
ReplyDeleteLauren, I am so glad to see you back here in blogland, dear friend. Nail strips are a new idea to me. I have found nail polish I like, ILNP, which has the subtle sparkle of the pink strips you are using. The Christmas strips you show are so cute!
