I got these for 20 cents each at the thrift store. They're cute but not my 'style' so I decided to give them a makeover.
First they received a bath of
flat, black spray paint. In case they didn't know who they really are,
I decided to remind them that they are in fact, each a "little goose".
This was achieved with a fine-point paint pen. To complete the ensemble, each received a tiny white bow made from vintage ribbon.
It's always fun to look past the exterior of something and imagine what it may look like with a coat of paint, a covering of book pages or repurposed for an entirely different use!

What a genius idea! You saved those sweet geese from their fate in some landfill! They are so cute now!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! They are now ready for any upscale dinner.
ReplyDeleteAdorable, thanks for sharing them.
Hugs,
Patti
How cute they look now...and entirely different! I think everything looks better with a ribbon in a bow! I found a little bunny at the thrift store today that needs a ribbon! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteSo much better now! What a creative idea.
ReplyDeleteAdorable !...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
What a great transformation! I love that you could see beyond what they were and make them more appealing. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference that coat of paint made! They make me smile. Love how you wrote on them, too. Best of all, the price. What a fun gift they would make as well as grace a table full of "quacky" friends. I'd love for you to link them at Share the Shelter. http://ourshelteringtree.blogspot.com
