First you want to thoroughly clean the surfaces that will be bonded together with soap and water and dry them completely. In a well-ventilated area (if using epoxy) follow instructions and apply glue to both surfaces and press together, holding for a few minutes. Then, leave them to dry. Some epoxy glues will say they are dishwasher safe but I prefer to hand wash these pieces. Oh, wait. I don't HAVE a dishwasher so I have no choice! But I digress.
I've even made small stands which I gave to each of the ladies at one of my tea parties as a favor. I put a small pillar candle on each stand and wrapped the entire piece in tulle and tied with a ribbon. Here are a few that I have and use to serve small items like sugar cubes or tiny cookies. One thing I plan to try next is STACKING these with varying size plates to create a 'tower'. Now it's your turn. Trust me -- it's addicting because there are SO many cute little plates, candle holders and glassware out there that the possibilities are endless!

I love this!! I have been wanting to make some of these and I never though to use a pretty glass upside down! Can I ask what glue you used? I have been stumped on that one :)
